Can I presume that we can change a pokemon around within the coming weeks if necessary?
My team is currently lacking the pokemon for which is crucial for it.
However, due to mass breeding Gen 4/5 I've got an over abundance of Rock types allowing me to easily change my team around and change the strategy so it won't rely as heavily on the pokemon i'm currently waiting on.
Also, can we have a "Gym vs Gym testing arena" just to see how everything fairs up against pokemon with moves super effective against the opposition. Leading to unfavourable match-ups.
This would never happen in actual competition (at least not to the extent of 6 pokemon) and so is a useful testing scenario to see what pokemon are really difficult for you to handle, and whether you could adapt against it.
It means we know what we can deal with. But challengers a left out in the dark still until they face us.

still trying to breed a 5 IV Ninetales. The RNG hates me today. And just think; I'll still have 4 more pokemon to breed once I'm done!  Uhh yeah, Fire-type gym's on hold for about a week. |

For the sake of starting earlier, couldn't you just have your team non IV'd at first and do it as your accepting challengers?

Well the problem with that is two of my planned pokemon, Chandelure and Ninetales, evolve via stone, so going for sub-optimal pokes just means super training grinding for me later on.
I'll handle those two first. Luckily my Ninetales is ready.

update, my Charizard is nearly ready. Just gotta EV train him, level him to 36, and think of a nickname. The 6 IV ditto I got is such a godsend on this XD
So I should have 4/6 my team ready before the end of the day. Next hurdle is catching a Litwick before it Momentos itself to death XD

Well, my team is almost ready. I'm kinda stuck until I can get a Galewings Talonflame, but 5/6 of my pokes are ready to go.
